The Association of Pharmaceutical Laboratories (AFIDRO) Research is a private trade association, non-profit organization, that brings together pharmaceutical companies Research and Development (R & D) established in Colombia, dedicated to developing innovative therapeutic solutions of the highest quality, and to benefit health and welfare of mankind.

CETIFARMA, the Council of Ethics and Transparency of Pharmaceutical Industry, is an autonomous and independent institution born in 2005 and by initiative of the National Chamber of Pharmaceutical Industry (CANIFARMA). CETIFARMA aims to foster and maintain ethical conduct and transparent practices for the benefit of society and the sustainability of the industry in Mexico. CETIFARMA has established a Code of Ethics and Transparency in Pharmaceutical Industry, a Code of Good Promotional Practices and a Code for the Interaction with Patient Organizations.

ETHICS is a forum of Ethics and Compliance individuals committed to developing and enhancing the highest professional standards in the Healthcare Sector. They wish to become the reference professional society for Ethics and Compliance practitioners in Healthcare to contribute to the development of individuals and the success of Ethics and Compliance organizations.

FIFARMA, the Federación Latinoamericana de La Industria Farmacéutica, advocates for the needs of associations grouping multinational pharmaceutical companies throughout Latin America.

The Central American Federation of Pharmaceutical Laboratories (FEDEFARMA) is a professional body created in the late 70s and groups within it most pharmaceutical research and development companies that market their products in the region of Central America and the Caribbean.

IFPMA represents the research-based pharmaceutical companies and associations across the globe. The research-based pharmaceutical industry’s 2 million employees research, develop and provide medicines and vaccines that improve the life of patients worldwide. Based in Geneva, IFPMA has official relations with the United Nations and contributes industry expertise to help the global health community find solutions that improve global health.

Transparency International-USA is the American chapter of a worldwide network of more than one hundred non-profit, non-partisan Transparency International chapters working to create a world free of corruption. An independent 501(c)(3) organization, we work to strengthen integrity and combat corruption in the United States and internationally.
Like many emerging economies, the Latin American region provides significant opportunity for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and other health care organizations. However, these firms face increasing regulatory and compliance-related challenges in this market. The University of Miami’s Latin American Health Care Compliance Certificate Program, a collaborative effort of the Center for Health Sector Management and Policy at the School of Business Administration and its corporate partners, is designed to address these challenges.
